Due to the Barn/Shed thing I have decided to compile a list of terms that may or may not be uniquely Australian with the American equivalent. Please feel free to add your own!

Bingle = Car Accident
Bog = Bondo (Body Filler)
Bonnet = Hood
Boot = Trunk
Dizzy = Distributor
Duco = Paint in its finished form
Extractors = Headers
Fourby/Four Wheel Drive = SUV
Gas Axe = Oxy Acetylene setup
Grease Monkey = Mechanic
Hermy = Diff Carrier (I think this is a South Australian term)
Inch = 25.4mm
Metric = What I learnt at school
Panel Van = A van based on a passenger vehicle
Petrol = Gasoline
Prang = Car Accident
Rambler = Any American Motors vehicle(they were all badged as 'Rambler')
Roundabout = A traffic circle
Shed = Barn
Slab = 24 cans of beer, commonly used as currency betweens tradies*
Slush Box = Automatic transmission
Spanner = Wrench
Sump = Oil Pan
Torch = Flash light
*Tradie = A person qualified in a trade (carpenter, mechanic, electrician ect)
Tyre = Tire
Ute = A pickup truck based on a passenger vehicle
Windscreen = Windshield
Yank Tank = A American vehicle

I think that we could just about go on for ever with the different terminology. We would probably just confuse our Nth American friends. I'm sure that they too have some quite unique terms.

How about we just add a couple more

Donk = Engine, as in "What donk and slush box do you have in that ute".
Thongs = flip flops
Circle work = Doughnuts = laying rubber in a circle pattern
