that the motors are dead.
Well one was good, but months ago when troubleshooting, seems like I didn't keep all the parts together. Last few days the rear window has been working its way down. I tried the motor winding with the screw drive, but it doesn't connect correctly in the regulator to manually wind the window up. Then I found that one of the tiny brush springs is missing on the only motor I can locate. Figures... Any suggestions on how to get the window back up manually? Went through one rainstorm... Appreciate anything Richard |

Typically, you can disconnect the motor or the drive gear, pull the window up & install the motor/drive gear to hold & lock the window back in place.
It's a lot of work to access & get to all of this, but it's better than plastic & tape over the window area.
Depending on the motor & design & gear(s). There are numerous hot rod shops around the country that sells aftermarket window motors that can be modified & installed. The street rodders do this all the time. Just offerings alternative solutions! Edited by hassyfoto - Apr/02/2012 at 7:56am |

you can still get rebuilt motors at parts stores for these, too.
