Catching up on some reading I came across this. It's in an "Extreme Action" magazine, No 89. (Well it says 89 on the front cover, but 88 on the contents page, so who knows)

Now I really wish the researchers would do their job, which is RESEARCH!
The owner believes its the only one in Australia and that he has the last two NOS 401 blocks in the world !
I have compiled a short list of the Gremlins in this country:
1. Mine
2. Garry, Qld (the orange one on Ebay, with no engine)
3. Paul, NSW, (the white one with a red stripe from Adelaide on Ebay)
4. Ben Ludlow racing one
5. The blue one with tilt up doors (or was that going to be imported and is it here?)
6. The light blue one with bullet holes in it in Mt Isa
7 & 8. Someone else mentioned they had seen one somewhere (actually 2, see Westernred's reply below
9. And this one.

Does anyone know of any others ?
As for being the 'coolest', I reckon this one is 'cooler', but that's just me..

I'd say the Ben Ludlow speedway one was probably crushed long ago, but there is this one in WA or what's left of it and the same guy has another complete one:
There is sure to be a few more out there.

Gizmoe is definitely in the cool category, especially since it still has AMC power, but coolest in the world is a big call, one of the coolest certainly.

Magazines do make some bold claims at time and not cheching the facts is pretty common when it comes to AMC's. I have another one where the Javelin in the article has a special 12 bolt chev diff, oh wait might that be an AMC20 diff?

I can confirm that it is in the country, I saw it up close about 6 months ago.

As for other AMC's in Local mags;

There was a '70 Javelin featured in a Street Machine Legends Special a few years back, and there was a spread in a recent Unique Cars about the AMI Americans and Hornets. I can get scans of the pages if anyone is interested

Anyone know when Unique Cars will publish the story on the AMX?

Yeah would like to see article on Classics/Hornets in Unique Cars if you get a chance to scan it up to forum, thanks Smile That yellow Gremlin has been tearing up the drags of OZ lately I think so if anyone has more info on it feel free to put it up on OZ Motorsport AMC's thread Tongue

Haven't heard a thing from UC. The photographer said when he sends in the pics he also gives details of the owner, then a writer will call to get specific info about the owner and the car. As of now, have heard nothing. (Not my car, but I was at the shoot and gave him my business card for contact details).
Should look something like this:-
1970 Javelin 360/727
1974 Levis Gremlin X 304/904
1964 American Convertible
1974 Matador wagon (parts)
2016 Holden Cruze Equipe
2014 Holden Colorado
"Don't mistake activity for achievement".
