Can't think of any engine names but the cars are often called Kenosha Cadillac's.

Don't know about slang names. Some of the other brand engines got nick names:
Buick: Nail head Olds: Rocket 350 Chevy: Turbo Fire, Turbo-Jet, Blue Flame MOPAR: Fire Power, Magnum, Hemi, Wedge FORD: Flat Head, Hi-Po 289, Cobra Jet, Cleveland AMC: "Fire Ball" marine 290 & 327, "TYPHOON" 290 or 343 Just a few. |

With the exception of "flat head" all the other Olds, Chevy, MoPar, and Ford names are corporate names, not nicknames. |
