I just picked up a 75 sportabout with 232 and I believe a 998 trans. Can anyone tell me if this tranny will bolt up to my 304?

It will bolt up with a 1972+ 304 specific flexplate (available at any auto parts store). I bolted my 904 to a 401 using the proper flexplate.

It's probably a 904. The 998 was stock with 304s, HD option for sixes, so it COULD be a 998. Might b a good idea to figure out which it is. The 904 probably needs a bit of work before any hard running. I'd put a shift kit in it and run a good cooler.
