Where..... The Collamer Stop & Shop, 6833 LOUCKS ROAD, E. Syracuse, NY Ok, I am going to throw this out there because I don't know what's going on with this show. Here's a Facebook link for the flyer and information about the show https://www.facebook.com/groups/984002818278848/. I am not sure if this is going to actually happen because I have seen little promotion for this show. It looks like it'll be more than just an AMC show as it's advertised as an "orphan's" car show but the AMC's are getting a special area to show + are allowing vendors. It's two hours away from me so I am planning on going to set up parts. Is anyone else planning on attending? |

Tom, sorry you can't make it this year. I was hoping some other locals were planning on attending but this show has been poorly advertised so I am not sure who if anyone was planning on going.. |

Joe, We have passed out over 200 show flyers.The AMC turn out is always low. It's NOT poorly advertised. Its poorly attended every year. People see me weeks later and tell me their excuses why they did not make the show.

I have made the 3 hour trip every year since the first one. Turnout was great the first year when the nationals were in Boston. Turnout the other two years barely would fill the spectator lot let alone the show field. One of those years was due to the weather which no one can control.
I haven't decided for this year. I understand flyers were passed out but agree with Joe from the prospective of someone else that is NOT in the local Syracuse area car scene (and still has made the trip in the past) that it felt less promoted this year on the broader scale. Locally it could have been promoted more than before and I would never know. I have had a great time every year I attended and hope to see numbers rebound. This is the closest AMC show for me since the Chilsons quit holding their' reunion show. Everything else is 4+ hours away. |

I live relatively close by so I plan on going.
I haven't been to the local cruise-ins as much as I would have liked this summer, so I can't say if the other people that I usually run into plan on going or not. It could be a really good show if the weather is decent and people actually show up. I think if there was an active AMC club with a member roster involved in the show it would help the attendance problem. There are more AMCs in the CNY area than you would expect but there is no AMC "community" so to speak, everyone is pretty isolated from one another. Here is the flyer for the show:  |

I decided to help Rich out a little bit and create a facebook EVENT for the show, so if you're facebook savvy you can join the event, share it, invite other AMCers, see who is attending etc...
