    Posted: Jun/19/2013 at 6:02pm

I can’t really go into any details or say too much just yet, but I am currently working with one of the major header manufactures to get a new shorty header on the market for AMC/Jeep V8 applications. Since the supply of Edelbrock Shorty headers has dried up I have seen a lot of AMC and Jeep people looking for shorty headers. This header design will once again help to fill the gap between cast iron manifolds and long tubes. I do know that like the Edelbrock Shorty headers these will be a direct replacement for the OE “free flow” exhaust manifolds. Other details are still being worked out.

Thats it for now!
 Thanks
   Dennis

I'd like to see them with the driver side dump in the middle like the early manifolds, not at the rear like the later Jeep manifolds.  Also tucked in tight enough for small body cars.

Outstanding.  I'm not sure how much tighter to the block they can get, at least with aluminum heads.

Well, they are going to do them!

The shorty headers are currently in the development and fixture building stage at Dougs Headers.    Edit = now Patriot (Both are Pertronics companies)
Cool

I'll pass along any updates on the project as needed.
