If you look at premium trannies like the Aisin, they do have separate bell housings.
Otherwise tooling/machining costs aren't worth justifying. |

i'll second that,go with the gear vendors OD.it is a bolt on unit that will fit that trans.all those other ideas are experimental at best and a friend uses a gear vendors OD on his stroked 460 1961 galaxy starliner drag car running in the high 9's/low 10's with no issues regarding strength of OD unit.he is using a custom made bellhousing to a GM th400 that we cut to fit the custom bellhousing-not a simple task.
