yep!!!we will both be raceing this weekend at marion raceway {ohio}for the gasser nationals.im going to put his old carb on my car and see if it helps.i took it to the track wend.and it ran ok but there is alot more to go.

well all went good for the first 12 passes.i tryed to get some more out of it and changed the jets and timeing on each pass.i got it to do 11.42 @117.19.i left it there for eliminations.i won my first round,treed the guy in the second round but lost,not just the round but also the rod!!!!!it decided to jump the fence at around 108mph!!!!i think the clevite bearing delaminated,spun,then went south!!it broke the pin off the vinola piston,ears off the rod,then exited out the front side of the oilpan.i took the pan off and #2 crank journal looks good but there is only about half the bearing left on the rod.i havent been able to get it off to look because the rod bolt wasnt playing nice with the #1 rod-piston.i took #5 off and everything looks great!oh well i guess there is always next year.all i can say is im happy it was #1 and came out the front.i think this saved me from having the oil go on the slicks at top end.i can build another motor but i cant fix myself or someone else if it went the wrong way!!!!
