    Posted: Apr/14/2017 at 4:00pm
Hey guys, I've decided that this summer I'll try to build up a full float AMC 20 rear for my road race Javelin.  Basically I'm looking for a housing to get this project going.  No axles needed...no gears or diff (unless you've got a TrueTrac with decent 3.54's attached)...heck, it doesn't even need tubes since the project calls for more tube length than most, if not all, stock housings have.  So basically, I need a dirt cheap housing.  Can someone help a fella out? Wink

Well I got one empty 71 Javelin housing though it will be a cost to get out to AZ from IL. As for wanting a limited slip, i recommend the slicer 2 piece over the trac lock, any day. Built stronger over 200 ft lbs to break away compared to 150 at best.

Edited because my auto correction replaced spicer with slicer. HA!

Thanks again!  I'm actually looking at the TrueTrac.  Supposedly those are the cat's meow for the road race guys.

I've got an AMC20 from a Gremlin that's had a hard life. No diff, it does have axle shafts but no hubs. The tubes are welded to the center section and the spring pads have been moved to change the pinion angle. It also had some really ugly shock mounts welded to the tubes that I cut off. I'd give it to you if you want it, otherwise it makes the next trip to the recycler.

Thanks Bob. I may be good with the prior offer. The welder tubes may cause an added headache. Unless one pops up in AZ that is just a little drive away, our man James may have come to the rescue for me.

if you don't find one closer, I have a housing with bent tubes, I can cut them off and ship just the center housing. you can have it for shipping costs.

Anything out of this pile that you're looking for? I'm back halving my 74 Gremlin X. I don't need these parts anymore
