Has anyone done a drum to disc conversion on an AMC 20 axle? If so, please tell me what I need to buy and how you did the brackets - thanks.

Here's a thread that you can get some ideas from. This is for Jeep 20's which have a 5x5.5" lug pattern but rear discs from  mid '90's Crown Vics would be a close match. Also some nissans have the 5x4.5" lug pattern which is what you need.

Cholo! For the 6.

I also hear Wilwood has an AMC 20 rear so they can see what is needed to make a kit for it. They also are working on (could be done?) a kit for the fronts too but nothing is listed on their site yet.

I forget his name, but the gentleman who road races the Javelin had Moser install 9" ends on the AMC rear end housing. This lets you run any Ford based disc brakes, my suggestion would be Ford Explorer, they are small and light wieght and most of all engineered to be used on millions of vehicles. This will be my choice if I ever have the money.

If you use Moser axles it helps a lot. Stock axles have end play and because of the axle moving in & out it pushes the pads/caliper in & out. Now you hit the brakes and the pedal goes to the floor to take up the space. Mosers do not mave in & out so so no pedal to the floor.
I do not know how Wilwood is going to work this out but they must have come across this before?

Do you have a Jeep, or an AMC? If you have a CJ, I think Stainless Steel Brakes has a Jeep kit.

Check Summit Racings website.

TSM Manufacturing

These guys will sell you just the brackets and rotors or a full kit.

I've had one of their kits on the rear of my CJ for close to 15 years with no problems.
