I am trying to see if this tach works - black and orange are for the light (it works) - the other wires are yellow and yellow with a black stripe - anyone know what goes where??? Thank you, Dean

If you can get your hands on an old battery charger then you can test the V+ , V- and the tach.
An "old" charger puts out 60Hz just like the 120 AC that feeds it. That 60 Hz is a signal to a tach. 1800 RPM for an 8 cylinder, 2400 RPM for a 6 cylinder, 3600 RPM for a 4 cylinder Just touch the connectors to ensure you have the V+ and V- correct before actually testing the RPM signal or you can burn out the tach.
