The Pure Stock Musclecar  Drag Race, has created a venue or" class" of Drag Racing, geared toward people who own  
 
stock American made Musclecars , from 1955-1974.

You can go there for the rules on what is, but more importantly ,what is NOT allowed for this class of Drag Racing.
 
The 2007 race had 150 cars participating ,including five AMC's !

Steve,

The 71 base Javelin is one bad hombre' for sure.
It get's a lot of attention and is knocking on the 12 second door as well.
 
The S/C 360 Hornets are awesome too!

I thought that it might be a good idea,to post the results of the race,at least as far as the AMC cars are concerned.
 
We had five cars attending this year,with and split our pairing challenges 50/50.
 
Unfortunately, Bob Witt's crowd pleasing 69 S/C Rambler broke ,during Fridays qualifying,actually at the line on the first pass(OUCH!!!).
It's too bad too because Bob usually hands his competition their hats,not to mention that Bob and his son had to watch the race as spectators.
