The Weber carbs were never used from the factory, but they are very popular upgrades in the Jeep community. Lots of kits pout there for the conversion, search "Jeep Weber upgrade". The Weber you have is much better than the old factory carb, 1V or 2V. ]]>

I'm new to AMC so forgive my lack of knowledge here... but my 68 American which I believe has a 199/6cyc.. has a weber carb, was already installed when I purchased the car, not sure what model I never looked just thought it was stock equipment.. mine appears to be on the stock intake, compaired to the pic posted by Pdok my carb is turned 1/4 turn counterclockwise, with the linkage faceing the firewall... So my questions are... was it counter productive to even put this carb on? Is it hurting anything? car seems to run just fine, and should I check the intake to see if it is a 1BRL. and maybe find a 2BRL. for more "performance"..... Thanks ]]>
