The debris I have now is from the cam meltdown. I didn't think I would need to be concerned about rings but wanted to be sure. Obviously if there is some anomaly in the cylinders I'll address that.]]>

I would definitely pull it down and flush everything. I imagine , if it's lows miles, that you should only need bearings. What cam are you running, and what oil and zinc additive? When you built the engine, did you run brushes though all the bores to make sure the passages were clean of debris?]]>

If there is no damage to the crank I will replace the bearings with whatever is in there now.(i can't remember). Should I plan on new rings and a fresh hone? or just keep using the existing rings? My compression has been good with normal oil consumption.]]>
