    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://theamcforum.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=2197">SC397</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 4832<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> Aug/25/2012 at 12:50pm<br /><br />Here is a 343 flex plate along side a 1970 390 flex plate for the M11/M12 Borg Warner Automatics.&nbsp; The weight on the 390 flex plate is .213" thick x 3.75" long x 1.375" tall.&nbsp; With the exception of the one torque converter mounting hole, the series of holes were put in there from the factory to balance it to the crank.&nbsp; All AMC engines were individually balanced.&nbsp; If you are swapping flex plates, flywheels or, vibration damper, (even on the same displacement engine) the assembly should be re-balanced.<br><img src="http://i625.photobucket.com/albums/tt333/SC397/001-64.jpg" border="0" /> <br>]]>

Will the flywheel bolt on backwards, or is there only one way for it to bolt up? I was half awake when I asked the direction and turned my brain around, Does the counterweight go inside or outside? That is what I should have asked in the first place. I'm asking because I can bolt it straight up with no issues with the counterweight facing out.]]>
