Just be aware of this.<br><br>You can use the newer lakwood bell for chevy trans to amc engines.<br>You would need to use the outer register of the crank for the pilot bushing, the one that is used for the torque conv. location. You can get a bushing for this or someone on here can set you up with an adapter for a roller bearing. <br>You may have to source your own bearing for the right size input shaft size.<br>If the clutch setup on the 350 on the car is the right year it may bolt right up to the 401 flywheel.<br><br>Now the drive shaft , shift location and what not may have to be changed depending on how far off the 350 was mounted from were the 401 is mounted.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; <br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp; <br>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://theamcforum.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=5986">STGKlopp</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 38541<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> May/28/2012 at 1:46am<br /><br />I've been looking all over local classifieds.&nbsp; One on eBay for $1500 but I'm leery about eBay.&nbsp; Where are all these being sold and whats the price range?&nbsp; I'd like a beat up one in need of a rebuild so I can rebuild it and become more familiar to the T-10 if that's the rout I go.&nbsp; If I go with the T-10 I will need a new shift and clutch linkage, a drive shaft, and a clutch on top of the tranny itself, to list a few things.&nbsp; It just seems easier and more cost effective to get the Quicktime bell housing, get the correct pilot bushing, and get a flywheel that will fit the clutch.&nbsp; I'll be balancing everything as I always have.]]>

Heck, I've bought and sold about a hald dozen of them in just the past year so I am not sure why you are having trouble finding one.  <br /><br />As for the M-21, the input shaft if the least of your issues and you should not be thinking about changing the input shaft rather you just need the correct ID and OD pilot bearing for the application.  ]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://theamcforum.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=5986">STGKlopp</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 38541<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> May/28/2012 at 12:58am<br /><br />I recently posted about putting an M21 behind a 401.&nbsp; I've been trying to find a T10 for about a month and I've had no luck.&nbsp; Why are these so hard to find?&nbsp; The Javelin has an M21 and a 350 SBC in it right now.&nbsp; The guy I bought it from fabricated a clutch and shifting linkage.&nbsp; The trans cross member has already been moved as well.&nbsp; The clutch is a BW twin plate.&nbsp; In theory if I can machine the input shaft to go into the pilot bearing and the flywheel will bolt up the M21 should work.&nbsp; So much has been done already to use the Muncie i think it will be cheaper to just machine it to fit the 401.&nbsp; Thoughts?????]]>
