Well as the subject states, sway isolators. IS there any one that has eliminated these isolators between the axle and brackets, I will ne moving the 79 AMX suspension over to a 80 Spirit body. Ive gone through search and came up with nothing. What are your thoughts of taking out the isolators and mounting the sway bar ridged between the axle and plates, Thanks

use the poly ones the are a lot harder then the rubber, and it will probably make a lot of noise if you don't have some form of bushing on them,    plus it allows for movement and play in the suspension.    need to have some sort of pivot between the two as the don't travel in the same plane as the move.

I guess the term sway bar isolators was wrong. What I was talking about is the iso-clamps wraped around the leaf spring. The isolators aren't to bad but has anyone eliminated these or made some out of a solid material such as poly or aluminum.

I did it in my '75 Hornet. I had to really get creative as I had a 6-cylinder rear bar and had to have some drop plates made to get the bar to clear the axle housing. Also had to use longer end links. Still, completely eliminated the iso-clamps altogether and other than a mild squeek from the poly bushings, everything seems A-ok. Cars' been like this for years, too. I think I did the job back in '09 or maybe '10.
