This was my father in laws hunting jeep.It has been on every back road of Nevada , Utah, and New Mexico. He bought it in 1983 and I beleive its 95 % stock. I went thru it in 2005 but as been sitting since 2006. I finally got the title. I went over to look at it after all the years and try to get it running .New oil battery, and a little gas in the big one barrel and she fired up. I tried get the old gas out by running it and and the gas looks bad but has no smell at all. I dumped 3 gallons so far , just how many gallons does this jeep hold ? It is a 258 three speed. Any ideas ? I do not know much about them.Is there a drain plug for the gas tank ? It has skid plates all over so not to happy of removing them.

Got all the old gas out and she runs on her own now. just need to smog it.

I got the cj running in tip top shape and flew thru smog.No turn signals or flashers and fuel gauge but brake lights work now. Going to get a new flasher and plates next week .
