Working on a 74 V8 auto Javelin with A/C. I have the TSM but it seems to be missing a page or something. The Javelin has a relay on the firewall which is part of the A/C heater wiring. It looks like it takes power off the starter realy and feeds it to the blower motor when the fan switch is set to max. Otherwise the fan is fed from the resistor in the heater box. None of this is documented in the TSM. There is a page in the back labled "Wiring Diagram Accessories" for the Matador and Ambassador  which is "almost" what the Javelin looks like. The wire colors don't seem to match up to the Javelin and there seems to be a few "extra" wires for the Matador and Ambassador.

Does anyone have the correct wiring diagram for the Javelin? Of all the silly things to get hung up on.

Thanks much,
Ken

pitcrew - did you know that you can "thank" amxess if he was helpful?

There's a "thanks" icon.......... it'll show that he's been thanked.

Is this something that perhaps we need a page for - images or scans of wiring diagrams, especially of specific systems such as this - kept as files, with a page of links to those files, categorized by what, etc.?
Not stickies or that sort of thing, but a web page that has links describing what they are, click, and you have the page or scan, etc.?
The issue, however, is the TIME and effort of someone scanning the page and getting it to us to upload and link to.
Scanning or photographing pages from a TSM takes time.................

Bill, now that I am aware of the "thank you" button I did thank amxess. Cool option.

As for the wiring diagrams, it seems this is a frequent question/request so having a section/web page where they can be searched for may be a worth while idea. Original TSMs are getting pretty worn out and many of the so called "reproductions" are not of the best quality image wise. In my case the original copy I bought a number of years ago was missing a page from the git go and I was not aware of that fact until I really needed it.

This must be AMC AC Trouble Month. I installed a newly rebuilt compressor and a new ac clutch and I have no power to the clutch. The TSM is no help. Amxess, I'd like a copy of the wiring diagram also. PM sent.

I won't be able to work on it till next weekend as we're leaving for the AMCRC Reno show in 11 hrs and the weather is suppose to be 75-80 picture perfect this weekend.
Thanks,
Ron

I own a Javelin 74 V-8 and I actually have the under hood and under dash wiring. It is in color and the colors match all of the wires. Let me know if you still need it and I'll send you a picture via email.
