Isky 270 in a mild 360 is a proven runner and with 108 LSA it will give a good idle. Also easy on the valvetrain.

I have the Summit 8600 in the 360 installed in my 69 Rambler.  Very good cam, great price and on the rowdy side.  I love it.
My engine is awesome.  PM my if you want my build sheet.

Is the compression the stock 8.25:1 still?

I'm guessing you will be happy with the noise, and unhappy with the performance.

The only way it may happen is to leave it alone and play a sound track of a race car real loud.LOL

Haha that's funny. I believe it is the stock converter but I have a twin grip with 354 gears.

If you run a compression test and get about 150 psi then it's probably the stock 8.25:1 CR. But even up to 9.5:1, the Comp 270H will do what you are looking for and still work pretty well with a stock converter. The Isky 270-HL would have just a slightly rougher idle than the Comp, and is a little more gentle on the valvetrain.

I would avoid the Summit K8600 since you have sidepipes, as the early exhaust opening it has makes for an extremely loud exhaust.

Erson  TQ20 maybe. I have a buddy with a jeep 360 auto with this cam stock engine sounds good and great mid range. A little soft on take off but not terrible.

Well so do I, sort`a. To get what you want takes more than a cam as I found out putting a 74 Ambassador 360 & 727 in a 68 Javelin, years ago, fitted with the following Sig Erson cam :-)

AMC V8 1966-91     1.6:1 STOCK ROCKER RATIO
290-401 CID ENGINES       PROFERAL BILLET
ERSON HIGH PERFORMANCE HYDRAULIC FLAT TAPPET CAMSHAFT

3,000-6,300 E710421 Hi Flow I H     296° IN  228° IN   .504" IN      108° 0°    .000" IN
                                   Hi Flow I H     296° EX  228° EX  .504" EX                      .000" E
High-performance street machines seeking increased mid-range and top end performance from modified 360-401 CID engines. Should have no less than 9.5:1 compression, torker style intake, up to 750 cfm 4-barrel and headers to complete package.

Through a set of Hookers & Sidewinders this was loud enough to make the Kent Chapter of HA take notice of it at their custom show, as it was louder than a Harley!!

Downsides of the rich thumper tickover are the need to run a 2,800-3000 RPM stall converter, if you use your car in normal traffic and require to park in wafer thin carpark spaces then a high stall converter is not for you, as in real life it is a PITA! Since nothing happens when you press the pedal ,and then at 3000 your blasted into the one in front!
Be careful what you wish for it may lead to more expence than you planned, uprating everything else to matchSmile
It may get me thrown off the forum but I have to admit to using a V6 Tiburon as a daily driver, though in my defence it does have a SS full race exhaust which was passed by the  scrutineers as 96db@ 6500rpm but is quieter than the Javelin! (which is being restored - broke the old javelin axel and has been off the road since).
