Working on getting the evaporator out of my '73 AMX. I have the heater box out, which had some kind of putty sealant all around the blower motor. I can move the evaporator box but not sure how to deal with the hoses. The seal on the firewall has a screw on the engine side. Just remove that and pull the hoses thru? It appears the enter hose connections have been wrap or puttied too.
Any ideas from someone that has done it would be greatly appreciated. Anyone that has remove and reinstalled the dash etc I will for sure have other question before I'm done. Please let me know how to contact you if you can help. Thanks, Ken In Orlando https://www.facebook.com/KenWBroyles

Yes. Just pull hoses through or remove them. The wrap on the hoses covers the thermostat bulb and keeps the condensation from leaking.
