73 javelin, moved rear axle back 3/8 inch, solid aluminum ft bushings, slightly trimmed lower chrome moulding to take the little jut out ,increased springs for 2" lift behind axle . Was able to fit M/T ET street radial 315/60/15 (11.9 tread width, 30" tall, 12.9 section width) drag tires and they are inside the wheel wells.  I used a 6" backspace 10" wide wheel. started out with 6.5 backspace but was really close on inside fender. lots of room under there. I also use shocks with the coil springs on them

I've got 255/60/15 on the stock 15x7 Rallye wheels on my car. No issues with rubbing or anything. My only qualm with them is the tire is simply too tall.  I have 235/60/15 on the front and they are perfect.  Once my 255's wear out, the car will wear 235's all around.

This is exactly what I have on my 71'

no rubbing with stock 15x7's.

Only difference is I like the rear tire height

it (slightly) helps with the 3.91 gears.

235/60-15's up front

on factory 15x7's

pretty sad that the only full side view I have handy is from 20+ years ago lol
