Looking to replace my 4 speed with a transbrake equipped 727. I know a 904 is better but I can do a 727 for about half the price. My question is how can I get a shield or blanket on a Spirit with a 727 and Hooker 7105 headers. No room in the tunnel and the collectors just about hit the tranny pan flange. Anyone out there run into this before? any solutions? Thanx, Scramboy.

CSR here too. Tightest fit you are going to find in a trans shield, period.

I use a trans blanket that bolts on the back two intake bolts and covers the complete trans minus the tail shaft.
I wanted to use the CSR shield but I could not as you need to bolt the trans to the engine before installing the shield .
I run motor plates that don't allow me to drop the back of the trans down to slide it on.
