Are there any specs on measurement of bracket location. The passenger side is 1/2.in. higher than drivers side. I have only a broken fiberglass bumper that is to wide for the car but I want to get the brackets right first. I guess there is no adjustments as I can't get it to move. Driver side is too close to center. Frame looks good but lower radiator support looks like someone used it as a tow point than hammered it back.

I think it's in the back of the TSM.

What car is it?

I can look in my 71 TSM, or if not... I have a Javelin which I could measure, but it's Javelin specific.

I would not trust the frame if the upper support looks wonky. A straight upper and lower support will mean the frame is good up front. But anything can be wrong not having the supports proper.

Another idea... check both brackets for straightness. If the car had front end damage the bumper would pull the driver side bracket inward, thus a slight bend. Both brackets are fairly long, so depending on past damage both may be bent inwards. Just one is more noticeable.

If like a '69 AMX, each Front Bracket has 2-Bolts with special large OD serrated faced washers
that attach the Brackets to the front frame rails with oversized holes in the brackets which allows
some adjustment and the special serrated face washers "bite" to keep them in place once tightened.

It is a 74 javelin. The bolts on the passenger side have a chamfer on them as if to center the brackets. No serrated washers. I am guessing it may have been in an accident. So hard to tell with this car. Brackets look straight. No bends that I can see. I can get frame measurements but that does not tell me how high.

OK, 74 is the odd year... brackets are setup differently, or I should say have extra sections.

I will later on this eve, go and measure my frame hole locations out, as for height as you require. My front is completely bare to the frame, so it is not difficult to get measurements.

Though 74 has an assortment of brackets that is different than previous years. Maybe your missing some parts.

Post a picture of what you got, maybe someone knows exactly what may be missing or improperly configured in how they are mounted.

OK, after looking at my front section of frame and sorting out a proper measuring point. Seems the lowest portion of the upper radiator support, which is just before it angles upward, measures 15" from center of forward most mounting hole for the brackets.

Though there are tolerances that may allow for some different readings. My front end is straight, and never has been in a collision.

There was no other point of reference that I could make do with for your request. As all sheet metal will follow the frame in which they are connected to. The upper radiator support seems the furthest point vertical from the frame. So if there is deflection, it may show easier than any other closer points of reference.

If you need the 74 only front bumper brackets I have an NOS pair of the main frame brackets to rail available for $60.00 plus shipping for the pair.  I also have one side of the outer bracket NOS too, that fits 71-74 AMX and Javelin

I don't know how to post pics on here, I have both brackets and they seem to be straight.
