Nice workbench! What adhesive did you use to attach the new vinyl?

I'm curious how you make out with remote mirror retaining nut. Mine was a bear dealing with the two chrome strips.

I started with some 3M 77 but it never set up, stayed gooey like Post-It glue. Changed to contact cement.

Mine doesn't have a remote mirror.

The '70 sales catalog shows the remote mirror as part of the convenience group which was optional on the Machine.

Here's an old doorpanel with the remote mount hole.

The issue when installing the remote mirror retaining nut is the Legendary strips and panel board are slightly thicker. Cumulatively it makes getting the nut started a real PITA. At least mine was.
