I'm curious how you make out with remote mirror retaining nut. Mine was a bear dealing with the two chrome strips.

I started with some 3M 77 but it never set up, stayed gooey like Post-It glue. Changed to contact cement. -Steve- |

The '70 sales catalog shows the remote mirror as part of the convenience group which was optional on the Machine. -Steve- |

The issue when installing the remote mirror retaining nut is the Legendary strips and panel board are slightly thicker. Cumulatively it makes getting the nut started a real PITA. At least mine was.
