Anyone know if all the 70 4300 carburetors were equipped with dashpot? I have pictures of some with and without? My OE 3/70 360 4300 doesn't have one?

The dashpot was a decal- valve of sorts. They were found on the 4-speed cars and had to do with the smog emissions. The dashpot prevented the carb from snapping shut suddenly and creating a rich mixture and the resultant emissions. To answer your question; not all engines had the dashpot, only those with 4-speeds. I guessed that your car had the automatic as you said you didn't have the dashpot.

Good to know I am not missing something, AMARK has replacement dashpots in the new items that prompted me to look at my carburetor closer.
