i got the straight story on what happened to this parts car- the guy i got it from was sorta a poor little rich kid- whatever he wanted, he got- the Javelin was his highschool car, parents wanted it to be decent- so they paid for new paint and interior- when p/o moved into his own place, he decided the Jav needed some HP, bought a FRESH 401, decided it needed a 4 speed, new headers, intake etc... in the process of doing finish work (clutch and trans mount arent even hooked up- shifter is in trunk)
he and his brother one night were drinking and getting stupid- something caused a fight, where P/o beat up his brother- when P/o got up the next morning, he found the Jav without windows.... after a month or so he started collecting parts, but never got around to actually putting windows back in it- before he knew what happened, 10 years had passed, and Code enforcement wanted that old junker out of his Back yard- he pulled the tarp off for the first time in years and found what WE all know- tarps arent waterproof- he the called me and the rest is history Edited by AmcKidd - Oct/07/2008 at 12:46pm |

you know, the original door panels are under the custom stuff, but the seats arent- i probably should check the trim tag and see if it was a leather interior- i DO know it was wrecked in front a couple times early in its life- the hood was a replacement part, so no holes (if it ever had them)

Kidd,
That's off to a nice start. I haven't seen a project come out of the Kidd garage before so I'm looking forward to your handy work. I guarantee that this will be the nicest looking and running AMX bought in the last couple of years that was built out of $3000 worth of spare parts. When you are done with this car, and tell people how much you've got into it, they are going to fall over. Long live cool cars built for cheap!
