Now that I am able to post pics I thought I would start with some of the car as it was when I bought it in 2005. Southern car all its life, six and 3 on the tree. Drove it home.

Yeah, car was nice but well used. Always liked the Americans and body was near perfect. Bought it to do a scrambler clone but after several years of not having time to work on her I changed my mind and decided to just do a resto but with a v8 drivetrain. Then I saw the Control Freak suspension conversion and had to have that. Color now is Aquamarine/Aquarius Blue, a VW color. I thought it looked period correct. The only surprise on the car was the floorpans, which were replaced, which were thin from water leaking around the windows over the years (damn rubber floor covering). Have a 401 to be built and plan a 200r4 trans. Air conditioning is also coming.

A little progress has been made. I got the headliner installed and the rest of the interior trim in. Visors and rear view mirror in. The brake system is nearly complete and needs one more front line finished before bleeding and testing. I used a Summit booster and a master cylinder from a late nineties S-10.
SSBC prop valve and SSBC 11 inch disc on the front. All parking brake cables installed along with a new brake handle (64-66 Mustang) |

The new gauges arrived and were test fitted into the stock gauge panel.
Block and heads taken to machine shop last week. Carpet and sound deadening going in this week along with the soon to be completed seats. |

Progress finally. Today I got all of the new electrical system checked out and functioning. Rear seat belts installed. Stereo, amp, and A/C unit installed. Sound mat and carpet next. Machine work on the 401 is almost complete. Front and rear seats are past due but should be done in about a week. Pics to come.
