Kool to see a young kid washing a car again. Talk about retro, I haven't seen that in a very long time. A great way to start a life long love affair with the automoblle, kudos to you for starting him out right.

The rear ends are swapped out. Garrett's  car now has V8 rear springs with an extra leaf for a full 6 leaves. I added an extra set of torque links that I had. I have not added the front brackets yet just the axle brakets and the links themselves.

Too dark for pictures when we finished up, will post some later.

Did it come from the factory with the buckets and console?

BTW, great call on the extra leaf.  IMO, a little tail up is the attitude the car looks best with.

Lucky kid!  My 8-year-old loves mine...maybe someday... :fingerscrossed:

I have the front suspension almost completly apart. I have most of the V8 front suspension off of the parts car. I will be sandblasting all of the pieces and rebuilding and painting everything before they are re-installed. The 290 V8 for this car is in the machine shop at this time and I am waiting for the block and crank to be cleaned and inspected so I know what I need to do. The T-35 auto is already rebuilt. It was in very good shape. I think I have a limited slip for the type one 3.15 american V8 rear end that we installed. The rear end from the parts car turned out that it was a 3.15 open instead of a 3.54 limited like I was told. I need to find a limited slip unit for a type two AMC 20 rear end to trade for the type one with the smaller bolts for the ring gear.

I have been redoing my garage the last few weeks so I haven't had time to work on any of the cars for awhile. The garage is almost completed so the 66 Rogue hardtop is next on the work list.

I haven't had time to work on the car for some time. The motor is in the machine shop an I just called Matt to check the status on the .125 oversized Forged pistons for the 290. Still buying parts for the 290 and the 343 motors that are in the machine shop. I hope to start working on the front suspension in August once my job starts to slow down a bit.

Yes, I do have plans for the 290 + .125 overbore whichworks out to a 309.7. I paln on using basically stock 67 343 heads, 4 bbl. intake and stock exhaust manifolds with duals and flow masters. The carb is going to be a Carter AFB and I am going to use a stock distributor with a pertronix II system. I want to make it look stock but run better than stock.
