Picked up a new project this week. I was thinking of the car as a parts car when I went to check it out but found that the car is too good to part out. Here is what $800 buys you here in the Phoenix area. I added the Wheels and tires once I got the car home. The guy I bought it from had bought it to make a hot rod. He was trying to sell it with a built Chevy 350 and 350 turbo and he had already gotten a Ford 9" rear end narrowed. He wanted $5,000 for everything or $800 for just the car. I already have a 290 2bbl and M40 auto for the car and I also already have a 3.54 limited slip model 20 rear end for an American. I pretty much have everything I need to get this one on the road in a couple of months. A MACCO paint job, a new Vinyl top and a little bit of interior repairs and she will be good to go. WOW Great buy. How about a little more info and pictures. IMO 66 Americans have the best looking trim of all 66-69 Americans.

Excellent score! You've got the AMC disease pretty bad these days. How many projects in the pipeline now?

The AMX is done, the 67 Rogue convert will be stripped down the rest of the way soon so it can go into the body shop. I haven't picked the shop yet. It's 343 is in the machine shop now and I still have to spec out pistons for it. The 66 Rogue convert parts car will be giving up its 3.54 limited slip rear end, V8 cross member and front disc brakes and gas tank so I can get it driving in a couple of months. The SC/360 is still on a hold pattern and I hope to start back on it after the 66 Rogue hardtop is on the road and the 67 Rogue Convert is in the body shop. I have till the end of January to get as much done as I can before I have to hit the road for work again.
