Where is the fuel filter on a 66 Rambler 232 engine and anyone know the part? It has a Carter 1 barrel carburetor.

I saw your picture of the fuel pump on your Facebook post.  I think that style of fuel pump has a filter in the lower portion of the pump which is held on by a bail.    If you can't find the correct filter (or can't clean it if it was designed to be cleaned) put an external filter somewhere ahead of the carburetor.

There is also a fuel strainer on the fuel intake tube in your fuel tank but it is too coarse to remove small rust particles and similar sized debris.  Joe

The filter element that is part of the fuel pump is a paper element with metal ends.  It is a NAPA #3038 or equivalent.  Be careful when removing it as there is a big spring in there holding it in place.
