The thrust bearing can be a generic bearing. I have the number somewhere... here it is: INA (manufacturer) #D7. It's not sealed like the original. Put in on with the open side down so moisture doesn't get stuck in there. There's not enough splash up into the bearing to make a difference. I've got about 80K and 12 years on mine. I drive my car in all kinds of weather and live on a dirt road, so it gets plenty of splash and dust! I inspected the bearings good about two years ago when I had some other front end repair to make, and they were still like new.
