Getting a few more things done, got sidetracked on a short getaway with my wife and her parents
to Deadwood South Dakota, Mt Rushmore, and Devil's Tower in WY. quick 3 day trip, 2 nights in Deadwood then back home. it was nice. Folks may not be able to travel much more in there 80's
anyway, got the grill back in, headlights and buckets, starting to look more and more like a car.

Also discovered I have lost one joining piece of the drip rail trim. if anybody has one they would be willing to part with {sell} please contact me also posted in the want adds

Well I decided to farm out the electrical wiring to a guy here in Colo that is starting up his own shop.
Used to work for a hot rod custom shop in South Calif, had good references and lots of photos of past work in car mags. Jason James Sparks garage. Anyway he did a real nice job and I'm very happy with the outcome. Once again the car was on a trailer headed to a shop

A few of work in progress

Some pics getting it done

The seats I'll be using are out of an early 2000's Lincoln Continental power leather with lumbar, Jason left that to me to save some money, they had a computer in each seat and tons of wiring for air bags, heat, seat belts, memory etc.. that all had to come out and be rewired to a basic two wire system, hot and ground. It took awhile but I got it without damaging anything, or shorting anything out.

Stuff from seat not needed

That's it for now I'll keep after it..

Hey Rambling on, thanks for the KUDOS, as far as the shifter goes it's a Hurst Promatic ratchet shifter
the blue base is just a lift I rigged up so I can use the original center console. as far as how it hooks to the transmission it's just a cable attached to a mounting bracket then to the trans by way of trans pan bolts. had to bend the bracket a little bit to make it fit right.
The cable required a bit more effort. The lever on the BW trans was a bit off, so using one that is supplied with the shifter I drilled the hole a little bigger cut the end off and welded it to the original trans lever, then just adjusted it till it worked. The shifter came with a bag of different brackets and levers so it's no real big deal.  I'll try to snap a picture next time I'm under the car. Now I'm just working on all the other stuff to get the outside of the car finished up so I can get the windshield installed. then qtr windows and finally the interior.

Thanks for the reply Brandon, I also have the Hurst Promatic ratchet shifter sitting on my work bench waiting for me to fit it . but I am in the middle of doing a full custom interior in my 65 American 440h . the shifter will go in once I have my custom floor & seats finished . a pic of what you have done with the shifter bracket would be helpful ,
cheers Garry
