My Amb. is missing the front speaker.  Anyone know what size it takes, and where to get one, or a substitute?  Thanks...

I could measure or sell you the one out of my Ambo. 64, just took the radio out 3 days ago.
Let me know. I think it is a 6x9 inch single cone speaker rated at 8 ohms.

IIRC in the Classic it is a 4" X 10". Not enough space for a 6".

On the other hand when I got my car it did not have an original speaker but I could not fit in a 6".  Good luck with it.

Does your speaker mount look like the top one here? It's for a 6x10 cone from my 66 Aamrican,

Mine was missing the mount and somebody drilled two holes down the sides. I don't recommend that. Your mount may or may not work. Are you sure that mount is not 4 X 10 rather that 6 X 10. I know the mount from the 66 Ambassador is too big and a 6" won't fit. I think the 64 Ambassador and Classic should be the same.

Yes mine is a 4x10. I made a bracket using one piece from the orig  bracket and converted it to two 3" 2-way speakers.

You could do a search for BKUSB80  but that is just a plastic plate you could mount 3" speakers to. You would still need a means of holding the plate up.
