TSM and owner's manual do not pinpoint location. of fuses .  Brake lights inop, but turn signals work and blink, except that right turn signal does not self-cancel..

Another driver informed me that brake lights are inop.

I can see no electrical connections at brake pedal hinge or under hood at master cylinder.  Are there two bulbs in the tail lights?

I am electronically challenged. Wiring diagrams are over my head, and I am stumped.

Any direction?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Had SAME thing happen.

Remove the brake switch at the bottom of the brake master cylinder on fire wall.

You will see, in the hole, it is PLUGGED with sludge. Turn away, close your eyes, spray away, take an air hose, Take carb cleaner with a spray straw. and Clean away the sludge, install, bleed brakes and you will have brake lights again. I trouble shooted and found this out my trial and error.

Be VERY gentle when removing the wire connectors off the brake light switch. They've been there for about 53 years and are most likely very brittle from engine heat. Ask me how I know.

First know brake fluid will eat into paint so protect it!

Before I went thru all that I would check to see if I jumped out the switch that I had lights out back. If I did get lights I would then do the above and would replace the switch with a new one as the old one may be plugged too or just not working.
