Does anyone know what model diff is in this car and if a cover from other types of diff will fit it?

It's a AMC 15,  the cover from any other AMC 15 will fit.

That's any American 6 cylinder from 58-69.  Any Hornet, Gremlin, Spirit, or Concord, Javelin, 6 cylinder to 1987.
Some others too.  Maybe someone else will add to this list.
66 American SW, 66 American 2dr, 82 J10, 70 Hornet, Pound, Va.

There are several different covers in the parts book for different years. I'm not sure what the difference is, but I'd lean towards a '61-61 American cover.
74 Hornet Hatchback X twins (since 1977)
62 American Convertible (still worth the $50 I spent in 1973!) AMCRC #513, AMO #384
70 AMX 360 4-speed (since 1981)
