FINALLY got the old 58 Cross Country Super (classic?) over to the body guy. Pulled most of the chrome and badges myself to save a few bucks ....got stuck at the tailgate. Being used to my GW which has an access panel in the gate .... found no such thing on the Rambler. A lot of screws and bolts on that thing .....around the perimeter, at the catches... How do I disassemble the gate so I can remove all trim, service the window regulator and eventually put it back together correctly??? Any bolts I absolutely should NOT remove? Apologies to farna..... she's gonna be classic black and rampart red, rather than Mardi Gras, as by the tag.... just tooooooo orangey .... I promise to not use the word restore. Maybe "refresh" or "revive"? |
