Thankyou

It`s been 8.6 @ 164 mph in UK motor only with tires that were shot and backing off halfway down so should get it running low 8`s / hi 7`s with new tires and NOS

Just bought some new tires from USA so should be able to get it out in next few weeks

The previous fire on the passenger side still shows as the fiberglass is discolored

Hemi is circa 1000 HP all alluminum Ray Barton stage v heads with 400 HP multistage nitrous, 2 speed glide, Mark Williams 9" Ford rear etc

Am planning repainting AMC colors with " HOUSE OF KOLOR " sparkle in each color over the nex few months and the wiring needs a tidy up too

Once I`ve done my 30 posts I`ll be able to put some build pics up Wink

Good looking car good luck and have fun. Your's is one of only 3 AMX bodies completed by Frank. Fred Brewer’s was the first your was 2nd, and my car was the last. Each car has a different WB. Frank was working on a 4th car when he closed, not sure if it was ever completed.  On a side note, be careful with that body. Frank sold his AMC molds but I can‘t find who has the AMX race body.

Hey Jonathan, how much does your car weigh?

I don't have an AMX, just a Gremlin.

Fred has an AJ 526 Hemi on Methanol. I run an AMC 418” EFI on Methanol with a TH400 from a jeep and a Dana 60. Total weight of the car with me is 2325lbs, I go 235.

When Stickshifter says “I don't have an AMX, just a Gremlin” just note it’s on bad a$$ Gremlin and one of the fastest AMC’s around.

Thanks.
Yes, that was a 7.22.  I'm hoping for a bit more performance this year.

Fred Brewer told me he had completely exhausted an AMC engines potential before opting for the Hemi. That was before the Indy blocks, maybe Fred's heads on a humongas CID Indy block w/1" valve lift? Naturally at that point it's totally a custom racing engine with no hint of an AMC component. So, you might as well get a blown Hemi.
