It ought to be pretty close. Regardless, it should be a very hot street motor....plus it idles at 900 rpms pretty nicely

Yes, the E85 is about 105-110 octane depending on the actual percentage of ethanol (it's not always 85%). But ethanol only puts out about 70% of the btu's gasoline does that's why the higher jets. But you still have the problem of being head limited - what kind of heads were used on that test and what were the flow numbers?
I agree with you on the 4 speed vs automatic depending on the automatic. I know if you go from a C6 ford to a c4, it's worth .20 right from jump street. Automatics have built in power loss that vary between models. Manuals don't seem to show that same magnitude of loss (there will always be some).

Comparing those results to the dyno daze results are interesting being the 427 made 53 more HP with ported eddy's instead of Indy heads allegedly flowing 320 cfm, and the reported 20 HP loss going from an Indy intake to a Schmidt air gapped torker. Other than that the CR and fuel being used are the main differences. The theory about a dominator outperforming a 4150 on such engines was expelled also. I suppose it boils down to assembling components that compliment each other, or getting on the right dyno? My engine is similar to these, it's not been on a dyno, but I'm confident it's making over 600 true HP. SKeown

They are Headers by "ED", I don't think he is still making headers. They fit nice and he did fine work. Back in the early 70's I had a 70 440 6pack Roadrunner, when I switched from Hooker to Ed's headers I picked up .4 ET and nearly 4 MPH. That's why I got them for the AMX.

One thing I just remembered, they were designed around a stock pan. I did have to make room on a milidon pan for the one tube on the drivers side. That's all, but the wide road race type pans are out. |

It would have been nice to see Brad's engine ran with a modified torker for the 4500..Instead of the adapter..

The adapter is most likely the issue there
