Just got a GMB water pump from rock Auto. The hub sits higher than stock. 72 amx 401, removed the stock, original water pump from the engine. Does anyone have a link to where I can get the correct pump?

Check in our vendors area, there are sellers with proper pumps. Some may require exchange. Though there are new manufactured ones for 70 to 72 v8 engines, which may not require exchange. |

sit them up right and the old one is probaly a short hub and the new one is a long hub.

If Rick’s guy doesn’t work out, I purchased the shorter water pump at http://www.americanpartsdepot.com/waterpumps.htm
There are a couple of places that stock these “short” water pumps that are not being offered anymore.

I have a GMB pump in my 401 gremlin, had to grind the bottom of the housing, to clear the balancer.
