can you get the timing chain cover off without draining the antifreeze ? me and my son are putting a new chain and gears in his 4.0 but was just curious if the cooling system has to be drained

Timing cover does not seal any coolant passages. Shouldn't be a problem if you can work around the water pump and hoses.

lower hose dumps on driver side car only has an alt i know that has to come off
