  At one time I had this info. There used to be an outfit that would modify your AMC/Jeep Bellhousing to accept the CPS for a 4.0 conversion. They even had some ready to ship if you didn't want your original back. Anyone know who this was/is????

Try Novak. They were advertising some type of CPS conversion/relocater for other trannys on the Jeep 4.0L. No details on their site though.

It's not hard to mount a CPS yourself. I drilled a 1/2" hole in my "universal" bell (AMC used that for the T-5, at least early on) at the right spot and modified the sensor mount to screw to two small angle brackets that were screwed to the bell. If you're off just a little on location the engine will still run, but the depth is critical! The sensor must be all but touching the flywheel.
