I just brought home 5 4 speed trannies - 3 have shifters (complete) - just pulled the first one off - handle is a push in #9944 - I am thinking for a 1970 - anyone else help me identify it? Thank you, Dean

I don't have my list readily available (still in storage) but IIRC I don't believe that 9944 is even an AMC number.

Cannot find this one either. Can you post a picture of the push in end with the #?
I got a hit on a 1963-4 Pontiac 8944 but the push in was larger then an AMC. If it looks like someone ground off the narrow part of the "rectangle" to fit the AMC slot, then that's likely what you have.
