with the offy intake does the carb mount normal as with the primary's facing the front of the car or sideways with the primary's facing the valve cover thanks thinking of putting one on my 258 Concord

It depends on which Offy intake you're asking about.
The dual-port has the carb mounted with primaries nearest the head, if you tried to mount it like on a V8, if you could, the carb would be off center, plus the primaries would be across the primary and secondary part of the intake. On the open plenum Offy, if you mounted it like a V8, then again both primary and secondary would be off center with the intake runners. I've seen people complain about this, but it gave me no problems with linkage, nor did it cause the float to jamb on hard turns. I autocrossed the car, the floats never got stuck on hard turns.

I took that car off the road 30 years ago, I had that intake on my 4.0 recently, but it's now hanging on my garage rafters.
I've never even attempted to post pictures on this forum before.

The primaries on that carb, mounted on a Clifford intake, is 180 degrees out with the way the carb is mounted on a Offy intake.
I never had to buy anything extra, I just used the stock flexible cable, and a bracket from the stock intake. This was on a straight stick.
