Would you be interested in the Intake that is preferred by MOAB JEEP race engine builders - that had $$ in Flow Design invested by the parent company who is neck deep in Formula 1 Racing ?

Open the hood of your Eagle.

The 1981_up AMC Alum. Alloy water cooled/heated Intake Manifold is
the Premier choice for AMC MOAB engine builders - and Renault poured in piles of Tech know how to get those ports to flow evenly and keep port flow speeds up across a full operational RPM range.

Builders use a Mr. Gasket 4bbl. to 2bbl. adapter - and the carb of their choice.

Here's a pic. - check the computer designed 'diffusers' in the base of the Intake throats - haven't seen anything like this in anything aftermarket:

Want a *Nice* carb for street ?

Find a 1957 Chrysler Carter cfb - primary carb from their 2-4bbl. factory set up.  Hit Google alot & you'll turn up a few places that have these.

It's about 345cfm - Carter - which is the company  Edelbrock bought to call their own.

Easy to work on - time tested and perfect for the AMC 258.

Get the exhaust header off an '88-'89 Cherokee 4.0 - add some bracing strapping between the down tubes.

BORLA makes a performance version in Stainless - I'd asked them for an Eagle version a few years back - so you might check with them.
