Not the flexplate, am chasing a flywheel, as the Rebel I am building at the moment will have a manual 5 speed behind it.

Which 5 speed? You could use a Jeep 4.0L flywheel (rebalanced to the motor), starter and bellhousing which is probably easier to find in Oz. You could also have the motor zero balanced since you're building it.

Will be using a t5. Looks like the Commodore V8s used them, and there is only a 1/2" difference in the input shaft - they are pretty cheap to. Falcons also used them but the input shaft length is to different to use as is.
Not hard to get the shaft hardened/shortened though.
I am building a daily driver so the shortcomings in the T5s strength dept are not really an issue.
I will be using a hydraulic clutch system

Are you building the motor or running it with stock balance? It's not the early flat flange motor I hope? (that was 1 year only here)

I will be building the motor. It will be pretty much stock, just a different cam, and intake. I would really like to go to Edelbrocks EFI setup but I think cost will prohibit it.
The rest of the motor will get beefed up, but I am not chasing power, just reliability and usability.

I will be using a later model motor. My current Rebel has a 70 360 motor with the Borg Warner auto. I discovered how hard they were for parts when a shattered the motor in it. Now I have a spare crank and flexplate for it. I wouldn't wreck an early crank on the off chance that the old 70 Rebel wagon I have hits the road again, or I need it for my sedan.

For most 360 parts you should try Garry Hammond from Tyres & More at Capalaba (Brisbane).
Garry is my uncle an has been working on Jeeps and Ramblers since the 70's. Would know a 360 like the back of his hand !
