Quick recap-
My dad's '65 Marlin had some fuel go bad and plug up the carburetor and possibly the fuel pump. Runs now with an electric fuel pump cobbled in by the mechanical fuel pump which is out of the car. Carb was rebuilt and fuel pump, well... the guy who was going to work on it decided not to tear it apart because of the vacuum feature. The car has an electric vacuum pump so I wasn't concerned about that. In my dad's stuff found another fuel pump. Clean, but not rebuilt clean so don't know if it works. What is the best way to go about testing it when not in the car?

Push the arm against bench...makes a special sound. Put finger over inlet, feel the suction. Can also carefully clamp pump arm in vice.

Thanks,
Wanted a simple test before going to the effort to install and not have it work.
