290 only except if you want aftermarket, then you have to have it balanced to 290 specs (or your old flexplate)

OK so I can use the flexplate as a template .
I was hoping not to have to pull  the the crank and balancer to get them balanced.

yws, send them both to the balance shop and they should be able to match balance the flywheel to the flexplate.
that's what they did on my McLeod aluminum. made a 550 dollar flywheel in to a $650 wheel...;)

Only a couple weeks old but ill toss this out.  Call Mondello.  They can make any AMC flywheel anyway you want for around $450.

I have had them make a couple for me and will probably be ordering another in the near future.

Their website is full of Oldsmobile stuff  but they make AMC flywheels too.
