Taking the 258 out and put a 360 in my 73 Matador wagon. Will use the stock 904 for now with a shiftkit just to get it running.

Will i need a shorter/longer driveshaft?

Okay guys this is going to get weird, in a technical sense.......in 1973 they made a specific motor mount for V-8 in Matador and Ambassador only.....yes, I got burned on this.  They are unique left and right, they move the engine/trans about 1/2- 5/8 inch....compared to the normal V-8 mounts (can't remember if forward or aft). The crossmember  for Matador and Javelin are the same from 71-74.  In 74, all went back to normal.....so what I am "driving" at is you may think that is is not in right place, since using a "Normal" Engine Mounts but they will change the way it sat in original place for 1973.

I have done a couple of I-6 to V-8 (304) conversions using a 998 trans and never had to change driveshaft lengths, the rear cross member fell into the right (correct) place.

So you can see the studs are offset......but there is a left and right, the safety brackets go up.  I do have one side if that helps, not sure what Doug has in the picture here.
